    Overheard at a wake
    "And they tell me Paddy that when they be making the poteen they always throw a wee drop on the ground out of the first run for the wee folk"
    "Troth and that's right, for they just do that."
    "And did you ever do it Paddy when you were making a drop".
    "Faith and I just did."
    "Would you give them a brave jap now."
    "No, just about a half-wan out of the first run".
    Apparently a practise on the hills near Letterkenny.
