  1. A Song

    Around the foot of Nephin

    Around the foot of Nephin
    'twas easy finding game.
    The partridge, pheasant, hare and
    duck and plenty of that
    same.
For well do I remember before
    I left my home.
    The happy days while hunting
which caused me far to roam.
    11
A dog or gun you cannot own
    or keep around your home.
A stick of wood found on the
    ground you cannot call
    your own.
    The streams are thick with
    speckled fish but none
    for them thats there
    As the landlords have them
    taken in charge to treat
    some English peer.
