  1. The wild birds found in this district are crows, thrushes, black-birds, seagulls, hawks, pigeons, cuckoos, swallows, robins, wrens, "willy"-wagtails, tomtits, linnets, chaffinches, gold-finches, larks, sparrows, yellow-hammers, starlings, storks, corncrakes and water hens.
    The different species of game are, pheasants, grouse, partridge, snipe, woodcock, plover, lapwing, wild-duck, curlew and wild-goose.
    Of the game birds the woodcock, wild-goose and snipe are migratory. The woodcock and wild-goose leave us in the end of spring and go to the Shetland Islands or to Sweden and Norway and there they build
