  1. The fairs nearest to us are Lahardane and Crossmolina. In Lahardane there are six fairs held each year, one every two months. A few years ago there were only two fairs held but the Co Council gave leave for four new ones.
    The new fairs are held on the 15th August and 29th June.
    The new fairs are held out on the streets now because there is no room in the fairgreen as many new houses are being built there.
    There is no special fair for pigs; they are sold the same day as sheep
