  1. It is the sign of rain when the cat is washing his face with his back to the fire.
    If you see the dog eating grass or drinking water it is the sign of rain also.
    Some people say when they see the crane beside a river that we can be expecting a flood.
    If we see the sun going down red we can count on good weather; a yellow or coppery sky is an indication of rain.
    When the wind comes from the north we will have dry but cold weather.
    Westerly winds bring most rain.
