  1. If snow appears on Nephin in October it is a sure sign that we will have some snow every month until the following April.
    The stream that is coming down from the big opening on the north side of Mount Nephin sounds high for good weather and low for bad weather. The louder the sound the greater the change in the weather.
    A sign of rain is to see the hens gathered in some sheltered spot and picking themselves. Another sign is to hear the cricket singing loudly.
