    is a merry dance between singing and dancing. Sometimes tricks are being played by outsiders on the household while this merriment goes on inside. Many a time I heard of a sod being put on the chimney after first fastening the door from the outside, thus causing a mitigating of pleasure inside.
    Strange superstitions persist concerning the dress of the bride. It runs thus:-
    Married in white you have chosen aright
    Married in black, you wish you were back
    Married in blue, you are sure to be true
    Married in grey, you will go far away
    Married in green, you are ashamed to be seen
    Married in pink, you will break the link
    Married in yellow, you are ashamed of your fellow
    Married in red, you wish you were dead
    Married in brown, you will live in the town.
