  1. The lepreachán is a man about three feet or two and a half in height. He is supposed to be a fairy shoemaker. While he is working he wears a pair of faery shoes, a little jacket and a little cap with a big tassel.
    There is a story told of a lepreachán. As he sat working in a rath one night, a shoe-maker came to him and said "Give me some gold". The lepreachán said "Dig under the oak tree in the wood yonder and you will get it".
    The next day the man got a shovel and went out to dig. It was about half-past twelve. He got a bag
