  1. At one time there lived between Knock Maol Domhnaigh Barracks and Melleray, at the foot of Deirick, a man who was called Tomás Tóibín. He had great strength. He was like a giant. He could poise two half hundred weights in each hand and throw them into the air and catch them in his hands as they were coming down. He played with the weights like this, as if they were toys.
