    This is a cold and stormy night
    Those words she then did say
    For my love lies on the raging sea bound for America.
    Says the mother to the daughter
    You must quit his company
    For to have his life this very night
    Your father charged his gun
    Your father he has riches great
    And OReilly he is poor
    Oh Mama dear dont be sever
