    There was a man from Kilmovee, who went to fair in Balllina. They went early in the morning and arrived in Ballina about eight o clock a.m. They were selling cattle and one of them got his cattle sold before the other and then came home. The other man did not get his cattle sold until late in the day and when he was coming home it began to get dark as the day were short as it was winter. As he was coming along a bleak part of the road between Swinford and Foxford it beg
