  1. About thirty years ago there was a terrible storm all over Ireland. It was in the month of February. Trees were uprooted and hedges and houses were knocked down. Roofs of houses were blown off. Different farmers' stock got mixed up and herds' had a busy time selecting their own share.
    A hugh tree, one of the oldest trees in the neighbourhood and close to Ballyboughal Church fell on a cottage and damaged it. A man named Sheils lived in it and it was providential that he had left the cabin, About forty years
