Long ago there were no cups but wooden noggins. They were shaped like mugs. There were three meals a day taken by the people about fifty years ago, breakfast, dinner, and supper.
The breakfast consisted of home made bread and butter milk. The dinner was potatoes and butter. The supper consisted of home made bread and milk and no butter because the people sold it to meet the wants of the house.
They would get no eggs only at Easter and they hardly ever had meat.
