  1. The foods left after a ferret is a cure for whooping cough
    If a person is held under an ass and the ass is given bread to eat and then the person eats a little of the same bread he will be cured of whooping cough.
    There is a well in the Grallagh graveyard the water of which cures whooping cough. If you tie a live caterpillar on a string round your neck, as it withers away the whooping cough will wear away.
    If you put Saint Patrick's leaf on a cut it will stop it from bleeding.
    The juice that comes out of an ash stick while burning will cure warts.
