  1. A man one time lived in a glen near Aldarragh. This glen is supposed to be haunted. One day he went into the glen to cut a load of sticks. When he had sufficient cut he brought them home.
One of his sons on seeing the sticks went running madly through the fields shouting and screaming like one demented.
The man suspecting that it was because he had cut the sticks from the wood which was regarded "gentle" immediately took the sticks back to the wood and left them there.
On returning he found his son quite normal again and going on quietly with his work.
