  1. One night long after midnight a man was returning from a dance and as he was passing an old house on the road side which had recently fallen into ruins he stopped there to take shelter from a heavy shower. The hall door of the house was still standing so he stood with his back to it. Suddenly he was thrown out to the road and the hall door also was thrown out after him. He was in a terrible panic and ran home as fast as he could. Next day accompanied by two or three other men he came back to look at the place and found the hall door standing there as usual. The people now say that this place is haunted and do not care to pass that way after darkness has set in.
