    The Power of Blinking
It was commonly believed among the old people that this was the way a person got the power of blinking. (making use of the evil eye.)
If a child was fed on the mother's breast and then weaned off and put back again it was believed the child had the power to blink.
In order to prevent this the grandmother would take away the child until it would be properly weaned off and then there was no fear that it would be put on again.
