    Cró na cleara : Croes : Carnaween, Arclar, Stuic an Ghealaigh.
    Told by Charles Welsh, Tullymore, Ardara aged 47 years.
    The old people found out the time of day by watching the shadow of the sun on Cró-na-cleara.
    When there was a shadow shaped liked a "smoothing iron" on Cró-na-cleara it was then 12 o'clock mid-day.
