  1. There was a woman named Nellie Boyle living in Maas. Maas is three miles from Tullybeg and is in the parish of Glenties. There was an old woman who came to stop with Nellie Boyle, and she got sick and died. When she was dying there was a terrible noise outside the window. Nellie was very much frightened and went down on her knees and started to pray. Then there came a big red ball down the chimney and hopped in the middle of the house. And to this day there is a well in the middle of the floor.
