  1. There was once a woman living in Maghera Ardara Co. Donegal. One day she was sitting at the fire spinning - it was the longest day in the year - and there came a little woman and man in and asked if they could have their wedding there.
    The woman gave her consent and immediately there came in a crowd of little people. A great feast was prepared, and they all sat down at the table and began to eat.
    The woman kept on spinning and did not speak as she knew they were not from this world.
    After some time they began to dance and sing, and they danced and sang until the sun was setting and then they ran out of the house and were never seen afterwards.
