  1. There is a place called "Leabaidh Diarmaidh" a few 100 yds due South of Straleel N.S. It looks like a rough stone box without a lid, buried in the ground. Nothing is known here about its history. The inside is about 2x2x2 feet. Unknown, except here.

  2. There is a rock called An Altoir about 1 mile N.E. of this school. It is among the hills. Nothing is known here about its history. Unknown, except here.

  3. There is an old fort, about a mile (as the crow flies) S.W.of Straleel school. Likely of Danish origin. It is a circular ring of stone and earth on the top of a mound. It is in the townland of Aireagal and about one mile from Carrick. Its history is not known locally.

    Roxborough is a modern name of the place.
