Once upon a time there lived a man who was a great miser. He never gave anything to charity and it is believed that he would go on hunger-strike for days and even weeks in order to save his money.

    (continued from previous page)
his dream was ended and that he was awake. He got up out of bed on the moment, and dressed as quickly as he could, and went to the priest's house. When he was shown into the priest's house to the priest's surprise the old miser handed him one hundred pounds to give to the poor.
