    There is an old house in Fintra outside of Killybegs and it is said that it belonged to the danes of long ago. It is believed that one day a man was cleaning the windows and that his brother, who was watching him, threw a large board at him and knocked hi

    they found the owner of the house standing as if he were dead. They caught hold of him and carried him out of the room. As they were going down the stairs the boy came back to life. He told his story to the neighbours and a little while later he was dead. Ever since that day that house is said to be haunted and two spirits walk about every night and they are believed to be the two brothers who lived there. Of course the house at present is uninhabited.
