the footsteps stopped also. They followed on until the girls reached home. When they went into the house they did not close the door after them and their mother went down to close it. She looked out and she saw two little boys standing outside the door and she asked who were the two little boys they had with them and why they did not take them in. They told her how it was and she asked them had they any bread with them. They said "yes". They threw it out to them and the little folk disappeared.
