  1. Christmas is a merry and happy time. Everyone's thoughts turn to home at that time. Letters and Christmas cards and gifts come to all of us.
    Our homes are brightened with gay decorations of holly and mistletoe. A large Christmas candle is lit and placed in the window, to welcome any poor homeless wanderer, who should happen to pass by.
    In the church a Manger is erected, to remind us of the scene that took place in Bethlehem, when Our Heavenly King was born.
