  1. Once upon a time down in Dungloe, there was a woman married, and when they were married twelve, there was a baby boy born to them.
    So on the night the baby was born its mother died. So on the very same night there was a man who lived on the road to Mount Charles, was out tethering his horse in the field at twilight, and he heard the noise of a flock of wild geese flying over his head. So he happened to say "God bless me and all about me", and when he raised up his head there was a beautiful young woman standing beside him. She asked him to take her home with him and when he asked her who she was or where she came from she couldn't tell him for she had lost her memory. She could not tell the man who she was or where she came from.
    He took her to his own house, and she lived with his wife and himself for twenty one years, and did the work same as themselves. They made no
