    “English and Irish soldiers.”
    Grammy Grey—Any number of children can join this game and one of the children act Granny.
    Children—Granny, Granny Grey let us out to play.
    Granny Grey—No, No, No, it’s a very wet day.
    Children—See, all the other boys and girls out playing.
    Granny Grey—Go but do not hunt the ducks away.
    Granny Grey—Where is your warmers?
    Children—In my shoe.
    Granny Grey—Come back, come back.
    Children—We will not go back for the like of you.
    Sally, Sally water—Any number of children can also join this game. All the children form a circle and one child stands in the center of the circle and they all shout the following rhyme.
    Sally, Sally water sprinkling on the pan,
    Sally, Sally water choose young man,
    Choose to the east and choose to the west
    And choose [the?] very one that you love best.
    Girl in the center—take in the girl that she loves best.
