A local wag named Pat Mc Glinchy of the town-land of Skreen asked a school boy who was going home from school, “Well John what did you learn at school today. “Ah says John I learned how to bring geet to Miles” “Well,” says Pat, “Tis time for you to bring feet to “Myles”. (The Myles he meant was a neighbouring man who has turned in feet and has a very bad way of walking.) “He’s a long time waiting for them”.
