  1. One night an old woman was sitting by the fire side spinning yarn. She had a pot on the fire making porridge for her supper. A small woman came in and asked her for some of the porridge to eat and the woman gave her some.
    The woman of the house had a barrel in the corner for holding meal. The stranger looked into the barrel and said to the woman. I see your meal is nearly finished and the woman of the house said that is will soon be scarce enough.
