  1. Long ago when my grand-mother was living she wanted to dye clothe so she went on day to Mick Gildea’s [barricks ?] for a weed that was used as a dye. She went into the house and asked the woman of the house about this weed.
    The woman of the house said she would have it if her friends would agree.
    The other woman said, “I don’t want it, if you have to ask permission off your friends.” The friends mentioned here were the fairies, and my grand-mother was afraid of them
