  1. It was on the above named hill which commands a view of the passage through Barnesmore Gap and away towards Donegal town that the sentries kept a lookout for the Redcoats in the penal times, while the priests (ar a Seachnadh) celebrated Mass in the neighboring fastnesses of Cullinboy.
    Gráinne Ní Bhaoghaill when a very old old woman told the following story (in Irish o course) to Patk. Callaghan who was about ten years old at the time. Callaghan died about eleven years ago at the age of 71.
