  1. it is said that there are hidden treasures in this district.
    These were put here by the Danes and they intended to come back for them, but when they were away they were not let back so the gold remains here yet.
    There is one in Lurgan Cairn but before it is got, a life has to be lost trying to get it. It is a pot of gold in a hole in a rock. There is another in Glasbollie aults and there are bushes growing round it.
