  1. Long ago people used to call their fields after some person, place or thing. It was commonly known in our locality. Daddy told me that old Cassie Brodbin called some of her fields after some place Here are some of the names of fields.
    The Árdan Páirc it was called that name because it is all high rocks.
    The poll a Phreachain. It was called that name because long ago crows used to make their nests there. This field belongs to Cassie Brodbins.
