We have many fairy stories at the present day. Some which are very interesting.
On Sunday night last as we were sitting by the fireside my father told me one of these stories. This was the one he told me. He told me that there were fairies at Gallagher’s house in the townland of Drumore. If there were any shoes to be fixed in that house. Mr Gallagher would leave nails leather and a hammer on the table when he would be going to bed. When he would get up in the morning the fairies would have them fixed.
