  1. One time there was a man who had five cows and he used to churn every week but to better ever came on the milk. He went to a wise woman and told her his trouble and she promised to put a stop to it. The next time he churned the milk butter came on it. When it was all churned they heard a noise outside. The man ran for his gun and went out. Walking a few steps over to the byre door he saw a hare standing at it so he shot her and she fell. When he ran to the spot to his great surprise and terror he found a woman lying on the ground. She was supposed to have changed herself into a hare in order to steal the man's milk and butter.
