  1. About forty years ago there lived a relation of mine in the townland of Ballydermott, Ballintra, Co. Donegal. His name was Gilbert Magee and he possessed great strength. When drawing in hay one day the bridge over which he was drawing the hay broke down. Without waiting for help he went down under the bridge and held it up with his back until six carts of hay went across it. This shows us what a strong man he must have been.
