  1. There is an old mill not far from our house. It was a scutch mill.

One night two young men came and told the caretaker that the mill wheel was going round. So he got up out of his bed and went down to the mill and the wheel was not going round atall.

So a few nights after that he was awakened by a knocking at the door and shouting “get up quickly the mill is on fire.”

He put on his clothes quickly and went to see it. Every thing was in flames. It is an old ruin now. But still marks of burned wood can be seen at the windows.
