    A cure for the mumps is to be led to a stream by any person whose mother was the same name before she was married. Bogbrine is a cure for any disease in the blood. The breath of any one who never saw his or her father is a cure for a sore mouth. A cure for the whooping cough is to get milk and get a ferret to take the first of it. Let the person who has the whooping cough take three drops of what is left, in the name of the Father Son and the Holy Ghost.
