A blast of wind sent the roof of Charles Mc Groary's house in Tullynaha up in the air a mile. Soon after there came a great spell of dry weather that dried the pools and rivers. A man named Thos. Brogan of this townland had to carry water from the river a distance of one mile and a half.

It is said that if a man misses a ridge when setting potatoes there is some one to die in that house before a year. This happened one year in a house of Andy Meehan's, Tullynagrena. When he was setting potatoes, he missed a ridge in the middle of the field and before a year his sister died.
