Till the present day there is a cave which is called the "black rock" and which lies near Glenties. An old woman who was known to be a witch lived there. There was a man out poaching and every morning for three mornings he saw this hare and fired at it but it was no use. So he thought to himself that there was something strange about this hare. The next day he went out to poach he put a sixpence in the gun. He was not very long poaching when he saw the hare so he fired and it ran away(continues on next page) - Collector
