During the penal times three priests were hiding near Ballyshannon.

During the penal times three priests were hiding near Ballyshannon. Two of them were shot, and the third made his way to the Dunmuckrim road. He was refused shelter by a family called A–, but the V– family got him away to the West, safely, in a cast. He promised that his benefactors would prosper, and those who refused him shelter would go down. This day the V– family have prospered and the A– family have gone down.
