  1. 1. Mrs Mulhern was a great storyteller. She was born at the of the famine and a great number of her stories are were about it but her favourite stories were about the Fairies.
    2. One of the oldest storytellers living is Mrs Keneghan. She is now 90 years. She was born here and knows a lot of the history of Ballyshannon. Her favourite stories are about Ghosts and Fairies.
    3. About 60 years ago a man swam from a place called Stonewold against the current of the river Erne to an old tannery which is about half a mile from Stonewold. John Molloy was the mans name.
