    Once upon a time there was a widow and her two sons who lived in a little town in the south of Ireland.

    Once upon a time there was a widow and her two sons who lived in a little town in the south of Ireland. Neither of her sons were working and they were very poor. One of the sons got work in a coal mine in wales. He used to send home enough money every week to keep his mother and brother. The younger brother got jealous and wrote a letter to his brother saying that he was going over to get work. The older brother knew he should stay at home and mind his mother. so he though of a plan. He told his comrade in the mine to dress up as the devil. So when the younger brother came down he saw the devil. The devil said if
