In the centre of this hall there are stands a large table, which is valued at five-hundred pounds. In one of the bed-rooms, there is a large canopied bed in which the celebrated Irish statesman (Daniel O"Connel is said to have slept The grounds encircling the castle are an absolute picture of beauty, facing the veranda lies an expansive lawn, which is neatly fringed by trees. Beyond this lies a glen, from which the name "Glencairn" is derived. Near the glen is a lake, by whose side the remains of the late owner are interred.
