  1. Saturday is said to be a very unlucky day to remove furniture into a new house. The people down the country, if moving to a new house on such a day, prefer Friday for moving. In speaking of certain days down the country they nearly always bring in the old saying Saturday's flitting makes a short sitting". They are also acc-ustomed to small verses like the following.:-
    Monday for health.
    Tuesday for wealth.
Wednesday the best day at all.
    Thursday for loss.
    Friday for cross.
And Saturday no day at all.
