  1. There is history attached to the Mugglins Lighthouse which stands on a rock in Scotsmans Bay about a mile off Dalkey, and every boy in the districts of Glasthule and Dalkey should know the history of the "Mugglins" so I will begin my yarn.
    About the year 1760 when pirates were in their thickest a ship put out to sea from Bristol. The captain a certain Captain Wentworth was a very severe man and did not feed his crew too well.
    When the ship was in mid-Atlantic a ruffian by the name of "Black Jack" Smith planned a mutiny, his right-had man was an Irishman called Henry Blake, and so the mutiny was planned, all the crew were to capture the firearms and give them to
