  1. The first rock I shall tell you about shall be "Maiden's Rock". It is situated in Dalkey Sound. This island is supposed to have derived its name from a most beautiful maiden named Afectus. She tried to commit suicide by jumping from a rowing boat. Underneath the water her madness left her, and when she came above the surface she sighted this rock. She is said to have died on that rock of starvation.
    However on the thirteenth of June she is said to sit on this rock and
