  1. There are many places in this locality spposed to be haunted.
About 10 miles south-wards from Brittas, where the Liffey scheme is now in operation, it is said that a man comes there every night and beats the watch-man, and now there are several men in hospital suffing from shock.
It is said that a soldier walks the road every night at twelve o'clock, at the Cross chapel, about three miles south-wards from Brittas.
A black dog is said to be seen at a mile-stone, just a few hundred yards away from Brittas school.
It is also said that very strange noises have been heard at Hornidge's house in the same locality.
Most of the people in this locality, think that those stories are true.
