  1. During the eighteenth century people were in a very bad way, because in that time people were not allowed to go to Mass or to attend pious meetings. The priest used to have to say Mass in a cave or under the shelter of a hedge or a bush, and the people used to have to hide their beads outside under a stone beside their hiding places. If any Catholic or priest was caught the soldiers would kill them. The good Protestants used to hide the Catholics and priests, to prevent the soldiers from getting them. One thing they
