  1. In the town of Celbridge there is a very big house known as Castletown House, which was owned by the Connolly family but is now owned by Lord Carew. There is a big estate attached to this house. Some years ago when it was owned by Mr. Connolly there were great fox hunts on this estate, and it is then that this story begins. It is said that one day at a hunt Mr.Connolly being a great horseman made the boast the he could ride with the Devil. All went well until it was seen that a strange man had joined the hunt. This man riding up to Mr Connolly asked him
